What we store

We use your Google account name, verified email address, and profile image to identify your account. We store sessions, invitation status, palettes you save, and usage records needed to operate the free beta. Authentication uses essential cookies.

Your ideas and Jev

When you generate a palette, your prompt, selected colour range, and locked colours are sent to TypeSafe AI to choose colours and calculate their probabilities. Don’t submit private, confidential, or sensitive information in a prompt. TypeSafe processes these requests under its own privacy terms.

Saving and retention

Saved palettes remain private to your account. Deleted palettes stay in Trash for 30 days so you can restore them, then scheduled maintenance removes them. Generation results are cached for up to 24 hours for variations and repeat requests; expired entries are removed by scheduled maintenance. Operational usage records do not contain your prompts. Backups may retain deleted data until they expire.

Drafts on this browser

Your current workspace and up to 30 recent palettes are stored locally in this browser, separately for each account. These drafts include prompts, colours, names, and settings. They are cleared on sign-out and discarded when you return after more than seven days without use. You can clear recent history from the History panel; saved library palettes are unaffected. Browser storage may be unavailable or cleared, so save important work to your library.

Hosting and access

SpectralHue is self-hosted on infrastructure outside Canada. Google provides authentication and TypeSafe provides colour decisions. The operator can administer access and usage. We do not add advertising trackers or sell your palette data.
